Start date confirmed for £60,000 Maghera cycle link
Work on a £60,000 project to provide a 750 metres cycle link from Maghera to Craigadick Park and Ride in Co Derry is to begin next week, it has been confirmed.
The scheme will connect the Craigadick Park and Share facility at the intersection of the A6 to Maghera town along the A29 Tobermore road.
The work is due to begin on Monday next, 16 February, and is expected to take six weeks to complete.
Confirming the start date, Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy (pictured above) said the scheme would “greatly improve” the safety for cyclists and encourage commuters to get involved in an integrated transport strategy, with easy access to comfortable and frequent Goldline bus services to Belfast and Derry.
