The Gathering: Ireland’s ‘most exciting folk and electronic artists’ to feature at Féile Derry 2025
The lineup includes Daithí, Dug, Etra, Lullahush, Róisín El Sherif, Teknopeasant, and Tessio
The Gathering is a one-day festival at Féile 2025 bringing together Ireland’s most exciting folk, trad, and electronic artists.
Taking place at Sandinos, Derry on Saturday, August 9, the event features live performances from two-time Choice Award nominee Daithí, Americana-folk duo DUG, Irish-Palestinian singer-songwriter Róisín El Cherif, electronic producer Lullahush, Derry singer-songwriter duo Tessio, and local electronic artist EtrA.
The Gathering will be hosted by Teknopeasant.
Daithí blends nature recordings, old Irish samples, and analog synths to create a unique house music sound soaked in Irish culture. His live shows are fully improvised, combining synths, drum machines, and live fiddle.
DUG might just be the best folk band in Ireland right now. Their sound draws from deep roots on both sides of the Atlantic - in one breath echoing the great American troubadours, in another channeling the elder statesmen of Irish folk.
Tessio, from Derry, are a singer-songwriter duo influenced by Simon & Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers, and The La’s. Their self-titled album was named one of the ‘Best of 2024’ by Music Republic Magazine. They have played sold-out gigs across Ireland and appeared at the RTÉ1 Folk Awards and Other Voices.
Féile welcomes Irish-Palestinian singer-songwriter Róisín El Cherif, whose ethereal, political, and cinematic music blends Arabic and Irish traditions. She has performed at Electric Picnic, Fleadh Cheoil, and sold-out shows at Dublin's famous Button Factory.
Electronic producer Lullahush has been praised as “a game changing producer”, known for creating innovative and original electronic music that pushes boundaries within the genre.
