TRAFFIC ALERT: Motorists advised of Buncrana Road lane closure

One of Derry’s busiest roads will be reduced to one lane this week to facilitate the upgrading of street lights.

From today until Friday next, the city-bound lane on Buncrana Road, from its junction at Racecourse Road (pictured) to Pennyburn Roundabout, will be sealed off each day between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted along Racecourse Road, Greenhaw Road and Culmore Road and are being advised to use the Northland Road and Creggan Road routes into the city.

The country-bound lane of Buncrana Road will operate as normal.
