Upgrade for Sinn Fein Ballyarnett constituency office

Sinn Fein’s Ballyarnett constituency office on Racecourse in the Shantallow area of the city is to undergo an upgrade.

Cllr Sandra Duffy said it was “very important” the party modernise and update the office so it could  enhance its constituency services. 

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Sinn Féin setting up the office in the locality.

Cllr Duffy (pictured above) added: “The area has grown vastly since 1975 with a rising population of over 30,000 people which stretches from the Buncrana Road right down to the Culmore /Muff border. So it’s a big undertaking to meet the growing needs of the people on a daily basis.

“It’s important to have such facilities located right in the heart of the community with easy access. We are hoping that the work will be fully completed  in the next few weeks.”
