Latest figures show that passenger numbers have risen by almost 150% over the past decade.
The upgrading of track and the introduction of new trains has helped to boost passenger numbers.
However, there will be disruption to services this Saturday and Sunday, March 1st and 2nd, and again on Sunday, March 23rd for more engineering works. A shuttle bus service will operate between Cullybackey and Ballymena.
But the good news is that the long term plans will mean an extra passing loop for trains and even faster journey times.
