VIDEO: It worked for Zidane and Pirlo but not for Institute striker Lynch

Institute U16s kicked off their Foyle Cup with a narrow defeat to Oliver Plunkett’s at Lisnagelvin, and it was a case of what might have been for the Drumahoe-based club.

Having trailed for most of the game, ‘Stute were given a chance to sneak a point with the award of a late penalty.

However, Institute striker Matthew Lynch’s attempt to outfox the Plunkett’s goalkeeper failed as he stood his ground and saved the penalty, saving a huge win for his team in the process.
