Yellow ice warning issued
A yellow warning for ice has been issued for tonight with Dungiven, Limavady and Draperstown set to experience ground frost in shelter and occasional blustery and wintry showers. Some snow is also predicted for low levels as strong southwest winds move in.
Across the county showers will turn increasingly to sleet and snow during today, especially over higher ground. These showeres will continue overnight and into Friday morning. As temperatures fall this evening, there will be an increasing risk of icy stretches on untreated surfaces, these lasting into Friday morning.
The public should be aware of the risk of some difficult driving conditions and the potential for some minor travel disruption.
