Macamish Fort, Rathmullan: Macamish Fort is situated on the banks of Lough Swilly. It was built in the year 1803 by the English Government. It is about 40 feet high. At the entrance to the fort there is a drawbridge and when the soldiers were all in at night it was lifted. Then there was no danger of it being burned by enemies. There is a wall built all round the fort and there was a stone lying on top of it; with some of the names of the soldiers carved
2.
Doe Castle, overlooking Sheephaven Bay: Doe Castle is situated about one mile off the Carrigart to Creeslough Road. This MacSuibhne castle is protected on three sides by the sea, while on the landward side a moat has been hewn from the rock. It sits deep in Sheephaven Bay, in a spectacular location on the shore near Creeslough village. It was a stronghold of the MacSweeney Clan who came to Donegal from Scotland as Gallowglasses - professional fighters
3.
Foggy Morning in Drumbern: Not the greatest photo but still something about it I like. A very foggy morning in Milford, looking over a fog covered Drumbern and out to Mulroy Bay
4.
Doon Fort, Naran: It was a relatively dull day in Naran but this Fort was still spectacular. I don't think I knew this place existed until fairly recently! An ancient ring fort, on a lake, on top of a hill. I'll definitely be back on better day for a better picture, but not sure if visitors are technically welcome
