The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service.
Arranmore RNLI posted: “We are all very grateful to all at Home Store + More for the generous donation €1,000 euro to Arranmore RNLI.
“We would like to thank Thomas McAree, manager of Letterkenny branch and a special thanks to Charlotte O’Donnell, who hails from Arranmore and works in the Letterkenny branch for nominating the RNLI for this generous donation. We are very grateful.”
