Bikers, families and friends are invited to join the annual blessing and motorcycle run in support of the RNLI.

Motorcyclists, their families, friends and members of the local community are warmly invited to the Blessing of Motorcycles today, September 13, at St Aengus’ Chapel in Burt.

The brief service and blessing will begin at 1.30pm. Following the blessing, bikers are invited to join a motorcycle run to Ned’s Point RNLI Station in Buncrana, where a donation raised in support of the RNLI Lifeboats will be presented. The event is an opportunity for the biking community to come together in faith, remembrance and charity while supporting the vital lifesaving work of the RNLI.

The organisers extend a warm welcome to everyone who wishes to attend, whether travelling by motorcycle or simply coming along to support the event.

Earlier this morning, Mass was celebrated in St Patrick’s Chapel, Dungiven, for deceased bikers, particularly those who have sadly died during the past year.

The day offers an opportunity to remember those who have been lost, seek a blessing for bikers and their motorcycles, and come together in support of a worthy cause.
