Open Day will offer families a chance to meet local firefighters and learn about fire safety.

Buncrana Fire Service is inviting members of the local community to come along and enjoy a special Open Day today, 29th August, from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

The free event at Buncrana Fire Station will provide visitors with an opportunity to meet local firefighters, explore the fire station and see some of the equipment used by the emergency services. Attendees can also learn more about fire safety through demonstrations and advice.

A key feature of the day will be a dedicated Sensory Hour from 11.30am to 12.30pm. During this time, sirens and flashing lights will not be used for display purposes, providing a quieter and more comfortable environment for visitors who may be sensitive to loud noises or flashing lights.

The Open Day promises to be an enjoyable and informative occasion for the whole family, with other emergency services also expected to be in attendance.
