RTÉ’s Cheap Irish Homes is looking for house hunters from Donegal who are ready to take the leap - the popular TV show which is now in its sixth season focuses on finding affordable properties across Ireland
The Irish property market can often feel like a maze, especially when it comes to buying a home that needs a little work.
But for those who can look past a few cracks in the walls or a neglected garden, there’s a hidden opportunity—one that could turn an affordable fixer-upper into your dream home.
And now, RTÉ’s Cheap Irish Homes is looking for house hunters from Donegal who are ready to take the leap. The popular TV show which is now in its sixth season focuses on finding affordable properties across Ireland and aims to help people navigate the process of purchasing a home that might require some renovation.
"Buying a house that needs work can feel daunting, especially when you're not sure where to start or what it's really going to cost," says Maggie Molloy, presenter of Cheap Irish Homes. "We want to show people that it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right approach and a little creativity, a property that might seem like too much work can actually become your perfect home."
"With the cost of living and property prices rising, many house buyers feel priced out of the market. "We know that renovation can feel like a massive undertaking, and a lot of people have concerns about the costs and time involved but it is an alternative.
!Whether you’re a young couple searching for a budget-friendly first home, a family needing more space, or someone looking for a property to downsize into, the Cheap Irish Homes team is here to help."
