Doochary Men's Shed set to begin its autumn sessions at the Corkscrew Pub
The Shed has been running for over four years with the support of the Donegal ETB and REACH
The Doochary Men's Shed is beginning its autumn sessions every Thursday evening from 7-9 pm in the Corkscrew Pub's Lounge.
The Shed has been running for over four years with the support of the Donegal ETB and REACH. Each year Shedders create wonderful items for villagers to avail of, which has included disabled picnic benches, planters and seasonal displays.
This year their first project is building a bus shelter for villagers, as there is no shelter for families waiting on the Local Link. Other programs offered by Doochary Development will begin on October such as Fly-Tying, and a further Crafty Creations Art and Crafts and Conversation Irish. Doochary Development wish to thank Aodh Mac Ruairi; Dawn Sweeney, and Orla Winters of the Donegal ETB; and Jimmy McGinty owner of the Corkscrew for their ongoing support .

An bhféadfá an fhaisnéis seo a aibhsiú, le do thoil.
Tá Seid na bhFear i nDoochary ag tosú ar a sheisiúin fhómhair gach tráthnóna Déardaoin ó 7-9 i.n. i Seomra Tábhairne an Corkscrew. Tá an Seid ar siúl le breis agus 4 bliana le tacaíocht ó Bhord Oideachais agus Oiliúna Dhún na nGall agus REACH. Gach bliain cruthaíonn na "Shedders" míreanna iontacha do mhuintir na sráidbhaile, lena n-áirítear binseáin phicnice do dhaoine faoi mhíchumas, plandaí agus taispeántais séasúracha.
I mbliana is é a gcéad tionscadal ná foscadh bus a thógáil do mhuintir na sráidbhaile, mar nach bhfuil aon foscadh ann do theaghlaigh atá ag fanacht ar an Nasc Áitiúil. Tosóidh cláir eile a chuireann Forbairt Doochary ar fáil i mí Dheireadh Fómhair ar nós Ceangal Cuileoga, agus Ealaín agus Ceardaíocht Crafty Creations agus Comhrá Gaeilge eile.
Ba mhaith le Forbairt Doochary buíochas a ghabháil le hAodh Mac Ruairí; Dawn Sweeney, agus Orla Winters ó Bhord Oideachais agus Oiliúna Dhún na nGall; agus Jimmy McGinty, úinéir an Corkscrew, as a dtacaíocht leanúnach.
