Fundraiser launched for one-year-old Donegal infant with inoperable brain tumour

A GoFundMe for Danny McLaughlin from Churchill has raised a massive €16,000 so far, with his family set to spend the much-needed funds on light therapy
A local community has rallied to raise funds for the family of a Donegal child born with an inoperable brain tumour.
Danny McLaughlin was born with his twin brother Charlie in June 2023, and lives in Churchill with his mother Annie and grandparents Marcus and Teresa.
Danny was born with an inoperable brain tumour, but this has not stopped the Donegal tot from enjoying a happy and loving life surrounded by family for over a year.
A fundraiser has since been launched by family friend Joanne Trimble, who met the family during Danny's treatment in Dublin. You can donate to the 'Do it for Danny' GoFundMe here.
"I got to know this family when Danny got home from Temple Street aged only four weeks," Joanne explained. "This little man has nurses to care for him at night. He and his little brother Charlie are the most amazing little boys."
Explaining the reasoning of the fundraiser, Joanne said: "We want to help Danny to avail of light therapy, this treatment could really help to give Danny a better chance. Anybody that meets Danny will know just how special he is."
