A picture, as they say, can tell 1,000 words and on Saturday, Patrick Strain and his four-year-old daughter Clodagh from Burntfoot were in Croke Park wearing wide smiles as Donegal sealed their place in the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals.

Both are big Donegal fans and watched on as the side managed by Jim McGuinness defeated Monaghan 1-26 to 1-20 at GAA HQ. The victory now means that Donegal and its supporters have an All-Ireland SFC semi-final to look forward to back at Croke Park against Meath.
