Saol na Feirme returns to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player tonight, Monday, February 24, at 8.30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

Letterkenny ATU student Somhairle Mathers is among one of the young farmers who features in the series.  Somhairle is balancing a busy life on his family's cattle farm in the Glens of Antrim with his university studies in Letterkenny.

He represents a new generation of mindful farming through prioritising natural methods. Despite facing some of the harshest weather conditions on his coastal farm, he remains committed to sustainable practices while balancing his second year of university in Letterkenny. He returns home on weekends to work on the farm.

The Irish language series explores the lives of seven Irish farming families as they try to navigate the unpredictable challenges of the past 12 months. Set against the backdrops of Armagh, Antrim, Clare, Galway, Laois, and Roscommon, the series delves deep into the lives of farmers managing tillage, dairy, beef, sheep, and vegetable businesses.
