Lifford Stranorlar MD ‘last in the county’ for improving bus shelters

Cllr Patrick McGowan said other areas had seemed to 'upgrade' their bus shelters
Cllr Patrick McGowan has expressed fears that the Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District will be “last in the county” when it comes to priority for improving bus shelters.
Speaking at the Lifford Stranorlar MD meeting, Cllr McGowan said: “The more I go around the county, everyone seems to have upgraded their bus shelters apart from us. I just can not understand why we are so far behind. This was raised at full council meetings.
“I would like to see someone identifying locations and getting these designed. I have a feeling that Donegal is going to be last on the list, and this Municipal District will be the last in the county.
“There are quite a few people who use the bus because we have so many primary and regional roads, so questions are being raised about why this is not happening.”
