Man due before District Court following Halloween assault in Buncrana

A man in his 20s has been arrested following an alleged assault in Buncrana on Halloween afternoon.

Gardaí were alerted to an incident on Main Street, Buncrana, shortly before 4.05pm on Saturday, October 31.

A male, aged in his 20s, was subsequently arrested in connection with the alleged assault.

He is due to appear before Buncrana District Court at a later date.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has confirmed that, as the matter is now before the courts, they are unable to comment any further on the incident.
