14-home residential development planned for Looking Glass Brae in Buncrana

Planning permission is being sought for the construction of 14 new homes at Looking Glass Brae in Buncrana.

Riverbed Lettings Ltd, through applicant Stephen O’Sullivan, has submitted plans to Donegal County Council for the development on lands adjacent to Northbrook Design in the townland of Ballymacarry Lower.

The proposal involves the demolition of an existing shed and the construction of 14 residential units, comprising a mix of apartments and townhouses.

The development, if granted planning permission, would provide six one-bedroom apartments, four two-bedroom townhouses and four three-bedroom townhouses.

The proposal also incorporates four Universal Design standard units, which are designed to provide homes that can be more easily accessed and used by people of all ages and abilities.

As part of the development, Riverbed Lettings is also proposing new access, parking facilities and amenity space.

A decision on the planning application is due from the council by September 16.
