Judge Éiteáin Cunningham adjourned case at Ballyshannon District Court of Bundoran resident

Judge Éiteáin Cunningham heard at Ballyshannon District Court that the Probation Service has had to ask “for more time” in the service of a probation report of a Bundoran resident accused of a burglary charge in Ballyshannon.

Mykhailo Bruhosh, 22, of 6 Marine View, Bundoran, had already pleaded guilty at a June court sitting, to a burglary offence at a Ballyshannon property.

He has been charged that on May 15, 2026, at Woodlands Cottage, Carrickboy, Ballyshannon, having entered a building known as Woodlands Cottage as a trespasser, did commit an arrestable offence, to wit, theft of items including a mobile phone, a watch, jewellery, and binoculars valued at approximately €250, contrary to Section 12(1)(b) and (3) of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.

At the most recent court sitting on October 16, defence solicitor Gerry McGovern withdrew his services in line with the ongoing national legal dispute.

Garda Sergeant Maurice Doyle told Judge Cunningham: “It is in for a probation report but the Probation Service has asked for more time.”

Judge Cunningham adjourned the case until January 15, 2027.
