A Donegal county councillor has vowed to keep pushing to have the N56 resurfaced from Ardara to Creeslough.

Cllr Michael McClafferty, independent, of the Glenties MD was sharing news on a stretch of the road that has been completed.

“Another update here on a stretch of the N56 on some work we got done here last week between Gortahork and Gaoth Dobhair by the entrance to the mines and then on up by the grotto,” he said.

“Thanks again to the Council for getting that done. It’s much appreciated. Glad to get it done as we’ve been trying for this for a long time to get this troublesome patch done. We have to get more done but we’re grateful for getting done what we have for now. We’ll keep on trying and pushing away for it the whole way through from Ardara to Creeslough.”
