Sunny start for Donegal with slightly cooler temperatures and chance of showers

Donegal will see sunshine in the morning but patchy clouds will build throughout the day with the possibility of a few isolated showers.

Met Éireann gives today to be slightly cooler than of late, with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 Celsius, in light to moderate east or northeast breezes, fresh at times near the north and west coasts.

Any remaining showers will soon die out tonight and it'll become dry with patchy clouds and long clear breaks. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 Celsius in light easterly or variable breezes.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy with spot flooding and isolated thunderstorms possible. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 Celsius in light variable breezes.

The solar UV index is moderate on Monday and Tuesday.
