Thousands set to graduate at ATU conferring ceremonies

The ceremonies are set to get underway at the Letterkenny campus on Tuesday
Over 5,000 students will graduate from Atlantic Technological University (ATU) during its 2026 conferring ceremonies across Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, and Galway.
The ceremonies will begin at ATU’s Letterkenny campus in Donegal on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 and 28, followed by conferrings for graduates from the Sligo, St Angela’s, Mayo, Connemara, Galway City and Mountbellew campuses. The events mark an important milestone for graduates from a wide range of academic disciplines and will bring together students, families, friends and ATU staff to celebrate their achievements.
Dr Orla Flynn, President of ATU, said: “Conferring is one of the most important occasions in the university calendar and a very proud moment for our graduates, their families and the staff who have supported them throughout their studies. Our Class of 2026 reflects the remarkable breadth of talent across ATU. Our graduates leave with knowledge, skills and experience that will enable them to contribute to their professions, communities, and wider society.
“On behalf of everyone at ATU, I congratulate each graduate on reaching this significant milestone and wish them every success in the next stage of their journey.”
The 2026 conferring ceremonies reflect the scale and diversity of ATU and the contribution its graduates make to communities, professions and industries throughout the West and North West of Ireland and beyond.
