The 48th annual swim at Marble Hill has raised almost €6,000 for charity following its New Year’s Day swim.
The brave and brilliant Doe Swimming Club community came together, determinedly plunging into that icy Atlantic water, raising an astonishing €4,702 for the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation.
“Every single euro will make a real, tangible difference, and we are beyond moved by your incredible generosity,” Bluestack Special Needs Foundation posted.

“We can't forget the amazing folks at Lizzie's Diner in Dunfanaghy, who so generously hosted us last night for a delicious meal, and prepared hot soup for over 200 freezing cold souls on the day. Thank you for opening your doors and looking after all the community in the most welcoming manner.

"To every single person who swam, cheered, donated, volunteered, or just showed up with a smile, you are the reason events like this happen. On a cold morning, you all brought so much warmth, connection, and hope. Doe Swimming Club, thank you. Truly, deeply, thank you for an incredible day.”
