1.
Buncrana Manager: Gary Duffy Last year’s championship: Lost to Naomh Columba in the quarter-final This year’s AFCL: Third in Division 2, lost promotion play-off to Glenfin. First two opponents: Away to Burt; home to Malin. Prospects: Having gone close to promotion to Division 1, Buncrana will feel they’re primed to give the IFC a real rattle. The loss of Darach O’Connor though, to injury, is a real blow. Star man: Caolan McGonagle.

2.
BundoranManager: James KeaneyLast year championship: Relegated after play-off with St Naul’sThis year’s AFCL: Ninth in Division 1First two opponents: Na Dúnaibh away; Naomh Columba home.Prospects: Bundoran finished the league strongly when they got Jamie Brennan back and he was played in a new half-back role. Will be without Paul Brennan, which is a loss. Must be fancied to be in the shake-up. Most certainly will be one of the teams to beat because they have the experience of playing senior.Star man: Jamie Brennan

3.
BurtManager: Ciaran DowdsLast year’s championship: Retained IFC status with relegation semi-final win over Naomh BridThis year’s AFCL: Relegated to Divison 3 First two opponents: Home to Buncrana; away to Naomh MuireProspects: After a difficult league campaign and last year’s IFC struggles, Burt’s aim will simply be to hold onto their championship status.Star man: Mark McElhinney.

4.
Gaeil FhánadaManager: Gerard ShielsLast year championship: Lost IFC semi-final to Naomh ColumbaThis year’s AFCL: 10th in Division 2First two opponents: Naomh Columba away; Naomh Brid homeProspects: The new boss at Portsalon will be targeting a quarter-final for Gaeil Fhánada and the draw might help with a home game against Naomh Brid. The clash with neighbours Na Dánaibh could be a huge game for both clubs and if Gaeil Fhánada can repeat their win of last year they will surely make the last eight.Star man: Liam McGrenaghan
