Thousands hit by major Inishowen power outage

Almost 6,000 properties in Inishowen were left in the dark on Friday morning.

Some 5,902 ESB customers were affected by a major power outage in the Buncrana area.

The fault affected commercial premises and private residents, leaving homes and businesses without power.

ESB crews are responding to the fault.

ESB has apologised for the loss of supply and say that power should be restored to all by 10.30am.
