Ruth Mettler (nee Mettenleiter), Gubannumera, Buckode, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim - 12 May, peacefully at home surrounded by family after a short illness borne with dignity and grace. Loving partner of Brian, super mum to Marc and Paddy, mum in law to Elaine and Oma to Mia, Oisin and Ella. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends in Ireland and Switzerland. Celebration of her life at Lakeland’s Crematorium, Dublin Road in Cavan H12 RF78 at 1 pm Tuesday 16th. All are welcome to Cavan. House strictly private.
Peter Earley, Caldramoran, Elphin, Co. Roscommon - 13th May, 2023, after a short illness, at University Hospital Sligo. Predeceased by his mother Ita (nee Conry) and father Paddy. Deeply regretted by his cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends, especially Peter and Ruth Carney and family. Reposing at Brady's Funeral Home, Elphin, on Monday evening from 5pm to 6.30pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Peter will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mary O'Mahony (née McDermott), Comeragh Park, The Glen, Cork / Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon - On May 11th, 2023 (peacefully) at Care Choice, Montenotte, Mary (nee McDermott) Comeragh Park, The Glen (late of Scregg, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon). Beloved wife of James (Jimmy), loving mother of Sandra, Derek, Annette, Michelle, Helen, Martin & Stephen, sister of the late Eddie and mother-in-law of the late Mark. Nessa (Patricia) Hanley, Rooskey, Co Leitrim - The death has occurred of Nessa (Patricia) Hanley (nee Hoare), in the loving care of the nurses and staff of The Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown and late of St Jude’s Aughamore, Rooskey, Co Leitrim on Thursday, 11th May. Predeceased by her husband Tony, sisters Florrie, Philomena and brother Gerard, sadly missed by her son Jimmy (Westport), Terri Shanley, Bornacoola, Marie Bolger, Rooskey, daughter in law Anne, sons-in-law JJ and Peter, grandchildren Vanessa, John, Avril, Edel, Anthony, Crona, Pierce, Tony, James and Celine and her 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her home “St Jude’s” Longford Road, Rooskey, Sunday from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Bornacoola for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Cloonmorris Cemetery. Nancy Butler, Elphin, Co Roscommon - Nancy Butler (née Gormley), Chapel St, Elphin, Co Roscommon (retired RGN/RM), on May 10th 2023, peacefully, in the care of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home staff, surrounded by her loving children. Predeceased by her husband Liam, parents Michael and Annie, sister Girlie (Mary Bridget), brothers Seamus, Pat, Tom, Michael and Martin John. Much loved and adored mother of Michael (Kilteevan), Eileen (Kildare), Liam (Elphin), daughter-in-law Ciara, Eileen's partner Mervyn, grandchildren Joshua, Mia, Theo, Mollie and Milo, nephews, nieces, relatives and neighbours and many friends. Reposing from 4.30-6:30pm at Brady's funeral home (F45 Y168) Sunday, May 14th, Elphin, followed by removal to St Patrick's Church Elphin, arriving at 7.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 15th at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in Elphin New cemetery. House private please.
