‘Oliver Cromwell is Really Very Sorry’ musical is set to be on stage at the Backstage Theatre stage on November 11 at 8pm.
‘Oliver Cromwell is Really Very Sorry’ is a glitzy musical about Oliver Cromwell: Daddy of Democracy, Puritan and Total Taurus.
Ollie’s Army is back for a night of pure carnage, legendary pop anthems and bloody historical re-enactments. This is an outrageous new musical exploring English colonialism in Ireland framed by an archaeological dig in search of Cromwell’s missing head.
The story sees award-winning cabaret star and writer Xnthony channel England’s “Daddy of Democracy” with an electrifying blend of pop bangers and musical theatre extravaganza.
Winner of Best Ensemble at Dublin Fringe Festival. Nominated for Best Production, Best Sound Scape, Best Costume and the Audience Choice Award at Irish Times Theatre Awards 2022.
Tickets for ‘Oliver Cromwell is Really Very Sorry’ at Backstage Theatre Longford on Saturday, November 11, at 8pm are available on 0433347888 or backstage.ie.
