Road through Leitrim Village has now re-opened

Gardai wish to inform the public that the main Carrick-on-Shannon to Drumshanbo Road at Leitrim Village has now been reopened. There is stop go system in place.

The road had been closed off since early yesterday afternoon after several properties and cars were badly damaged by a tornado that ripped through the village.
