Two arrested as part of Leitrim garda roads campaign on New Year's Eve

Leitrim Roads Policing Unit has arrested two drivers for being under the influence on New Year's Eve as part of their ongoing Christmas Road Safety Campaign.

In a social media post they described the arrests noting: "The first being a Novice driver, stopped at an MIT checkpoint following a positive test for Cannabis on a #DrugWipe test. The 2nd arrest was made a short time after the first with the motorist testing positive for alcohol. Please don’t drive under the influence. It’s not worth it!"
