Car crash in Carlow, trees down, and 4,000 without power as Storm Éowyn wreaks havoc overnight

Overnight in County Carlow the red warnings were very much justified as Storm Éowyn took effect on locals across the county
County Carlow was full of incident last night as Storm Éowyn raged through the night cause a car crash, trees down and thousands left without power.
As the red warning for the Strom Éowyn has expired and County Carlow is now under an orange warning, the county definitely felt the effects of the storm overnight.
Incidents that occurred overnight due to the hazardous conditions were posted about on Facebook by Councillor Andrea Dalton.
Firstly, at around 2am last night on the N80 in Ballon a car hit an ESB pole. Leaving the road partially blocked but passable. Emergency Services attended but occupants had already left scene.
There are a number of trees down following the winds across the county:
Milford
Bourlum Wood
Killerig
N80 Boggan Hill
Additionally, 5 ESB outages have left 4,000 without electricity with the ESB saying due to the national situation it is difficult to predict when power will return to these locations.
