Former broadcaster for KCLR Eimear Ní Bhraonáin and partner Mr Carlow Weatherman Alan O'Reilly revealed their engagement on board a flight to Toulouse today.

The happy couple secretly got engaged a few weeks ago in Donegal but kept it under wraps until yesterday's social media post. Still on cloud nine, Alan posted a photo of them onboard and wrote: "Little trip with me fiancée."

The forecast is looking bright for the happy couple as they escape for a romantic getaway in Toulouse ahead of Eimear's 40th birthday.

Eimear said: "We are both too old for engagements but delighted at the same time. For all the single women out there, don’t give up! Only for the local radio I wouldn’t have met the weatherman."
