Cruinniú na nÓg returns on June 6, bringing an exciting programme of 21 free events across County Carlow.
Marking the official launch, Forward Steps Family Resource Centre was filled with fun and laughter recently as children from ‘Little Steps’ attended.
Those in 'Little Steps' are currently taking part in a workshop, as part of the Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, which is led by the talented Little Gem Puppets. This gives young participants the chance to explore puppetry, storytelling and hands-on making.
This year’s programme offers a wide range of hands-on activities, including kite making, nail art, hut weaving, painting, engineering challenges, film screenings and even a journey back to the age of dinosaurs.
From Tullow to Carlow Town to Bagenalstown, the county will come alive with opportunities for young people to imagine, experiment and create.
Cruinniú na nÓg, a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland’s Creative Youth Plan, is Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people.
Every event is free and designed to encourage young people to explore and let their creative spark soar. It is funded by Creative Ireland and supported by Carlow Arts Office.
