Places booking up fast for Try SETU events targeted at secondary school students in Carlow

Over one-hundred secondary school students have signed up for ‘Try SETU’ events which will run 7th December 2023 and 11th January 2024.

The aim of the 'Try SETU' events is to help secondary school students to choose the right courses for them to study at third level.

Several discipline-specific ‘Try’ events are planned across the month, including; Try Science, Try Social Science, Try Business and Try Computing.

SETU Registrar and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr Derek O’Byrne said, “Having a wide variety of Try events means that prospective students get to experience first-hand what it is like to study a certain discipline.”

Students also have the option to explore common entry courses.
