Planning submitted for small estate with children's play area and cycle track in Carlow

A planning application was made earlier this week for a small estate consisting of 13 homes
A planning application has been submitted to Carlow County Council for a small estate that will have a children’s play area and a cycle track.
John Connolly made the application on July 28th.
The small estate would consist of 13 houses, a public open space, a children’s play area, a natural play area, and a shared cycle track.
Permission has also been sought for footpaths and roads through the residential development, landscaping, and other associated site works such as boundary treatment.
The address for the proposed estate is Eagle Hill Road, Eaglehill, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow.
A single vehicular entrance onto Eagle Hill Road, with pedestrian/bicycle access and a pedestrian crossing, is proposed.
A decision is expected on or before September 21st.
Submissions can be made until August 31st, and to do so online you must make an account.
At the beginning of 2025, John Connolly made an application to Carlow County Council for a very similar residential development, but subsequently withdrew it.
It also consisted of 13 homes and was based in the same location.
