Two-day yellow high-temperature warning to come into effect for Carlow

Carlow has been issued with a two-day high temperature warning
A Status Yellow High Temperature warning has been issued for several counties, including Carlow, and is set to last for two days.
The alert was issued by Met Éireann and will come into effect at 6am tomorrow.
It will remain in place until 6am on Friday, with all of Leinster and Tipperary included as well.
Temperatures could reach up to 27 degrees during the day, staying at a minimum of 15 degrees overnight.
Met Éireann is warning that potential impacts could include water safety issues due to increased use of beaches/lakes/rivers, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and animal welfare issues.
A Status Yellow High Temperature Warning is issued when temperatures are expected to reach over 27 degrees “over a wide area,” with higher temperatures expected locally.
It also indicates that the weather does not pose a threat to the general population, but can be potentially dangerous on a localised scale.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says Wednesday night will be the warmest night, with temperatures “not dropping below 19c in places.”
