A YouTube video has been launched showing the difficulties Eoin Harte faces in his daily life

A Carlow resident is raising awareness on the daily struggles he has to endure while trying to get around Carlow town.

Eoin Harte, a well known Carlow native, is wheelchair bound and as a result he has to try and navigate the streets of Carlow where at times it feels like an obstacle course for him.

Due to the narrowness of some roads in Carlow, particularly around St Fiaccs and Graigucullen Bridge, Eoin finds it difficult to get around easily with his mobility scooter.

A six minute video has been produced by Garryhill Films, a Carlow based production company, to show the struggles Eoin faces every day of his life.

Eoin is asking the Carlow County Council to do more, not just for himself, but for others in wheelchairs, parents pushing buggies, or anyone else that may find it difficult to get around.
