Decision to grant permission for Kilkenny housing development appealed to An Bord Pleanála

A recent decision from Kilkenny County Council to grant planning permission for the development of new housing in Thomastown has now been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.
Creanross Limited originally submitted plans to the local authority seeking to develop 30 residential units comprising of 22 houses and 8 apartments within two two-storey apartment blocks on a site at Grenan, Thomastown.
The application was submitted to the local authority in February of last year and was subsequently subject to a period of further consultation.
Kilkenny County Council then decided to grant permission, subject to 32 conditions, in February 2024.
That decision has now been appealed to An Bord Pleanála by a third party and a final decision is expected by July 11, 2024.
