DO NOT RESPOND: Kilkenny people receiving similar scam texts - be alert!
The messages state a direct debit has been scheduled
There have been multiple reports of people across Kilkenny receiving similar scam text messages today (Tuesday).
The texts in question are formatted as follows: "(Bank Name): A direct debit of (X) has been scheduled to (Company Name). If unrecognised, call (Phone Number) immediately. Ref: (Fake Reference Number)."
Please do not respond or call back the number. Contact your bank directly if in doubt.
