Does Kilkenny need more public playgrounds and public spaces?

Local election candidate for the Kilkenny City Local Electoral Area (LEA), Cllr John Coonan, is advocating for improved public amenities to be built in his local community, in order to enhance the area and tackle community issues in areas such as anti-social behaviour.

"I am advocating for improved amenities such as playgrounds, pitches and community spaces to be built and for existing spaces to be given further attention in terms of maintenance in Kilkenny and the surrounding area," he said.

"Providing more amenities for young people in our local area is a key part of my campaign, because I know just how important they are to helping families in our community thrive," Cllr Coonan concluded.
