Just announced - Nine Kilkenny schools included in extended DEIS Scheme

Nine Kilkenny schools have been included in an announcement from Minister Norma Foley

on the extension of the DEIS (Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools) programme.

Minister Malcolm Noonan has welcomed the announcement, saying it was fantastic for the nine schools in Kilkenny and 13 schools in Carlow.

Minister Foley has announced a €32 million expansion of the DEIS scheme that will see 347 schools benefit from additional resources, across the country. As a result of this announcement from September 2022, this will bring 1,194 schools and over 240,000 students into the programme (approx 1 in 4) .
