Kilkenny dog shelter welcomes new arrival after heartbreaking surrender

Carlow Kilkenny Dog Shelter has welcomed a handsome new arrival after a kennel became available following the departure of another dog earlier this week.

Juno left the shelter this week, but his kennel was filled on the very same day by another surrendered Shepherd, named JR.

The shelter shared the news on social media, introducing JR to followers and explaining that he had been surrendered due to his owner's health issues.

Through no fault of his own, JR has now found himself looking for a new start.

However, the shelter has confirmed that he is not yet available for adoption as staff need time to assess him and get to know him a little better.

Welcoming their newest arrival, the shelter said: "Welcome to the shelter JR."
