Kilkenny ring the changes for Allianz League clash with Cork

Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng has made five alterations to his team ahead of tomorrow night's Division 1A League clash with Cork at Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Mikey Butler, Huw Lawlor and John Donnelly all return from club duty to start while there's also a Kilkenny debut for Luke Hogan as well as Mikey Carey's first game in less than two years for the Cats.

Richie Reid, Padraic Moylan, Harry Shine, Kevin Blanchfield and Mossy Keoghan drop out of the starting 15 from last week's draw against Wexford with all but Reid named among the subs.

Alongside that quartet among the replacements is Walter Walsh who joins the Thomastown and O'Loughlin Gaels players in returning to the inter-county season.

The inclusion of Hogan at full forward is the most interesting aspect of Lyng's selection and shows that he's not afraid to give new players an opportunity with O'Loughlin Gaels clubmate Jordan Molloy also getting another outing from wing back.

The two teams will both be looking for a first win in a game that throws-in at 7.30pm and is live on RTE 2 Television.
