Kilkenny sides named for camogie clashes with Cork
The Seniors and Intermediates both in action this afternoon
New Kilkenny senior camogie manager Peter 'Chap Cleere has named an experienced starting 15 for this afternoon's Division 1 Very League opener against Cork.
The tie which takes place in UPMC Nowlan Park at 2pm sees the All-Ireland champions come to town as the two teams meet in a repeat of last year's All-Ireland Quarter-Final.
The game will be Chap's first tie in charge since he replaced dual All-Ireland winning manager Brian Dowling.
Nine of the starting side from last year's quarter-final will take to the field for the Cats while there's also a league debut for Conahy's Roisin Phelan.
The majority of the Dicksboro players involved in last December's All-Ireland club success are unavailable including the recently appointed captain and vice captain (Jenny Clifford and Aoife Prendergast).
At the same time as the senior game, the Kilkenny Intermediates are also in action against the Rebels at the Cork Camogie Grounds where they will be looking to make up for recent defeats against Wexford and Galway.
Seamus Kelly's team will be captained for the year by Rower Inistioge's Cria Langton.
