Kilkenny student Luke O'Brien Peterson, who attended Rockwell College in Tipperary, was one of two students in the school who earned 625 points

A Kilkenny student was one of two Rockwell College students who achieved perfect scores in their Leaving Cerificate examinations.

Luke O’Brien Peterson, a boarding student from Jenkinstown in Kilkenny, secured 7 H1s and 625 points, while Kevin Kelly, a day student, achieved 625 points with 6 H1s.

Their accomplishments are a testament to their dedication over six years at Rockwell College in Cashel, County Tipperary.

This year’s results nationally have seen fewer top marks as the Department of Education begins to phase out the grade inflation of recent years.

Principal Audrey O’Byrne commented: “Both I and all the staff of Rockwell College are incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 today, not only for their achievements in the Leaving Certificate, but for their dedication to and support for each other. We wish them every success in this next stage of their learning and their lives.”

Students receiving their results today are supported by Guidance Counsellor Edel O’Callaghan, who is available to discuss CAO options, and Chaplain Dr Aisling Mulherin, who is on hand should any student need pastoral support.
