Meeting on making your own polytunnel

Kilkenny GIY (Grow It Yourself) will host its next meeting on December 4 at 7.30pm in the Pembroke Hotel, where speaker John Hogan will give a presentation how to make your own polytunnel.

The group recently hosted guest speaker Dr Una Fitzpatrick of the National Biodiversity Centre, who gave a presentation on what people can do individually and collectively to promote biodiversity and a healthier ecosystem within their own gardens and surrounding environment. The evening also saw a number of ‘Pod Discussions,’ giving everyone the chance to discuss gardening issues.

Membership is free and all are welcome from absolute beginners to expert gardeners. For more details, contact [email protected] or see www.pembrokekilkenny.com.
