Kilkenny's Medieval Mile Museum will feature in a new RTÉ One three-parter series starting on Sunday, April 21, called Ireland's Hidden Treasures.

The first episode features curators and staff in the National Museum, National Library, Collin's Barracks, Medieval Mile Museum in Kilkenny and Hunt Museum in Limerick.

Front and centre will be Sharon Kavanagh from the Medieval Mile Museum.

Her colleagues call her 'The Bone Collector' as she loves graveyards and all the history and detail on the headstones.

The episode also features a 4.7-year-old billion-year-old meteor (older than the planet) that crashed into Limerick in 1813.

There's also a man called Paddy Kilduff who used to work with Aer Lingus and collects pins, model plans, National Geographics etc - a self admitted 'bit of a hoarder'.

During the course of the episode, viewers can see how his Aer Lingus memorabilia (stored in his attic) becomes a collection in the National Library.

The series starts Sunday, April 21, at 6.30pm.
