Night-time electronica music event to take place in Kilkenny handball alley
‘Echoes in the Alley’ will run until 10.45pm - and organisers have said sound levels will be monitored and bass kept to a minimum
A live music event will take place in the Michael Street handball alleys in Kilkenny City tomorrow (Saturday) night.
‘Echoes in the Alley’ will kick off at 8pm and go on until 10.45pm.
There’s an opportunity to watch/listen to the performance for free in the Peace Park, or avail of tickets to get inside the performance space.
Local residents have been assured that sound levels will be monitored throughout the evening and maintained, and that bass frequencies will be kept to a miminum to help reduce sound travelling into neighbouring homes.
Organisers have also said ‘no alcohol will be permitted’ and gardaí will patrol the area throughout.
They say the event is taking place with the permission of Kilkenny County Council and in accordance with event requirements.
