'Particularly significant' funding announced for areas of Kilkenny
Discretionary funding welcomed for public lighting projects across North Kilkenny
Cllr Pat Fitzpatrick has welcomed the recent allocation of €73,000 in discretionary funding for public lighting projects across Muckalee, Coon, Galmoy, Paulstown, Lisnafunchion National School, Castlewarren, Tullaroan, Love Lane in Castlecomer, and Mooneenroe.
He has also extended his gratitude to the Area Engineer, Pauric Butler, for bringing forward these proposals and was ‘delighted’ to propose their acceptance at a recent meeting of the elected members of Castlecomer Municipal District.
“This investment in public lighting is particularly significant for rural communities,” he said.
“It’s also a welcome addition for families and students at Lisnafunchin National School, where the new lighting will improve safety during the darker months.”
