Planning permission lodged for new community centre in Kilkenny

Castlewarren Community Ltd have applied for planning permission with Kilkenny County Council for the construction of a new community centre in the local village.

The proposed development would include meeting rooms, café with internal and external seating, storage rooms, mechanical room, lobby, toilets and sports hall.

A new site entrance, carparking, secondary treatment system, raised soil polishing filter, soakaway pits and French drains, and all associated site works are proposed under the plans.

Permission, if granted, may be subject to certain conditions from Kilkenny County Council.

A decision is expected by the local authority in the coming weeks.
